Welcome to Life Box! Thank you so much for stopping by. My name is Sinenhlanhla, but everyone calls me Sine.

Life Box is all about FOOD – making it, eating eat it and learning more about it! It is also about all round WELLNESS and all things that make LIFE all the sweeter!

All in all, Life Box is for the everyday modern woman who desires to eat well, live well and be well*

A bit about me…

I have always loved food and have loved being in the kitchen since I was a little girl (minus washing dishes). I’ve watched COUNTLESS hours of cooking shows and made many a recipe in my mother’s kitchen and now, my own.

As I have journeyed on this beautiful adventure called life, I have also become extremely interested in living a full, whole & healthy life in the midst of the madness of the 21st Century.

If you knew me in my teens and early 20s, you’d know that I ate cake and muffins on most days and I wasn’t a fan of vegetables at all.

I am still a huge fan of baked sweet treats, but today, I drink water and eat vegetables…even broccoli.

I don’t have any food intolerances or allergies, so technically I can eat anything, but I don’t. My food choices are guided by what makes my body feel it’s best. I also make shifts and changes as I learn more about the benefits of different foods. To date, I do my best to follow a diet of lean proteins: both meat & plant-based, whole grains, fruit & vegetables and healthy fats. I also limit my dairy intake by consuming plant-based alternatives like almond milk and coconut milk. Ultimately, I like to keep things easy & uncomplicated.

Food is one of the joys of life and I believe we can enjoy food that is both nourishing and delicious*

I hope to share some of what I have learned about food, wellness and life with you. I believe that as we journey in life, we are always learning and discovering new things. We then place all that we learn and discover into our little box of life and store it up to use anytime we need to use it.

Here, you will find simple and easy recipes – mostly healthy and some maybe not-so-much. You will also find some tips and writings on wellness and life.

I would love for you to think of Life Box as a place where you can pick up a few tips and tricks to put in your little ‘life box’*
